- Low water pressure — shower pump failure, blocked shower head or limescale buildup
- Leaking shower enclosure — door seals, tray seals, waste connections and tile grout failure
- Shower won’t turn on — electrical faults on electric showers, solenoid valve failure
- Noisy shower — pump cavitation, loose pipework, worn motor bearings
- Blocked shower drain — hair trap clearing, waste pipe blockage, slow drainage
- Shower head problems — limescale buildup, broken arm or hose replacement.

Shower Installation — New Showers for Birmingham Homes
Thinking about fitting a new shower or upgrading what you’ve got? We install the full range:
• Electric showers — heated from the mains cold water supply, ideal where hot water supply is limited
• Mixer showers — blend hot and cold from your existing system, good pressure and temperature control
• Thermostatic mixer showers — maintain a constant temperature even when other taps are running
• Power showers — use a pump to boost pressure, ideal for homes with low pressure
• Digital showers — precise temperature control with smart features, premium installations
• Shower enclosures and trays — we fit all shapes and sizes including quadrant, rectangular and walk-in
• Wet rooms — fully waterproofed, tiled, level-access shower spaces
Not sure what type of shower is right for your home? We’ll assess your water pressure, boiler system and bathroom layout and give you an honest recommendation — not just the most expensive option.
Shower Enclosure and Tray Fitting
A shower is only as good as the enclosure around it. Poorly fitted enclosures leak, move and cause water damage over time. We fit all types of enclosures to manufacturer specification, with correct sealing, levelling and waterproofing. Where we’re fitting a new shower tray, we ensure the waste is correctly connected and tested before anything goes in on top.

Frequently asked questions
Here are some of the more common questions we get asked
Got questions about your shower? Here are some of the things our customers ask us most.
My shower has no hot water — what's likely to be wrong?
This is usually caused by a failing thermostatic cartridge or a drop in water pressure from another outlet being used at the same time. We can diagnose the cause and either replace the cartridge or adjust the system to stabilise the temperature.
Can you replace an electric shower with a mixer shower?
Yes, but it depends on your hot water system. A mixer shower needs a hot water supply from your boiler or cylinder, whereas an electric shower heats water from the cold mains. We’ll check your setup and advise which options will work in your property.
How long does it take to fit a new shower?
A straightforward like for like replacement usually takes half a day. If we’re changing the shower type, rerouting pipework or fitting a new enclosure and tray, it can take a full day or slightly longer. We’ll confirm the timeline before starting.
Do I need an electrician as well as a plumber for an electric shower?
Electric showers require a dedicated circuit and should be connected by a Part P registered electrician. If the existing circuit and wiring are already in place and correctly sized, we can connect the new unit. If new wiring is needed, we’ll arrange for a qualified electrician to do that part.
Can you fix a leaking shower without retiling?
Often yes. Leaks are frequently caused by failed seals around the tray, door seals on the enclosure, or a loose waste connection — none of which require retiling. If the leak is coming through the tiles or grout, we’ll assess whether repair or replacement is the most practical solution.
What areas in Birmingham do you cover for shower installations?
We cover all of Birmingham and the wider West Midlands including Solihull, Edgbaston, Harborne, Moseley, Kings Heath, Sutton Coldfield, Erdington, Digbeth, Aston and beyond. If you’re not sure, just call and we’ll confirm.
